FLEUR DE LIS
An Elegantly Nobile Symbol
The design of Fleur-de-lis is based on a lily.
In ancient times, French royals used it as a coat of arms, and when it entered the Middle Ages, it was widely used as a religious motif. It is often found in England, Scotland and Italy. In modern times, it is also used for military insignia and sports teams, schools, companies, and other organizations.
